All About Albert Einstein

The Childhood of Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany and he died April 18, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey at age 76. Einstein grew up with middle class Jew parents, along with his younger sister Maria. His parents were Hermann Einstein and Pauline Koch. Einstein's father was a featherbed salesmen, along with running an electrochemical factory and his mother tended their house while caring for Einstein and his little sister. Einstein's fathers business failed and their whole family moved to Munich. Growing up Einstein had difficulties in learning how to talk. Many children picked on Albert during school. Albert also loved thinking about things that were abnormal. Albert preferred to play by himself rather than with other boys his age and he enjoyed challenging himself with everything he did.
